Here it is! The second chicken tractor is finally done! I had to fight off staph, gout and poison ivy to get it done, but it is now complete, woohoo! The covering is part of an old billboard, the wood is treated lumber and the frame is PVC pipe. Very light weight and easy to move.
There is a handle that is attached to the front with rope. The water is delivered with a dog waterer with a gravity fed tank. I think it holds about 2 gallons. We feed in a standard chicken trough type feeder. We move the tractors twice, daily. Sometimes we move them three times a day. The idea, though, is a mob, or high density grazing. The manure collection in the smaller area is awesome for the soil. We are, in essence, accomplishing with chickens what many are trying to accomplish with livestock.
