Good. Common Core is nothing but the indoctrination of children. More governors need to step up to the plate.

Seattle OK's Minimum Wage Hike To $15
Some people have no idea what they are doing. They never stop to think about consequences nor do they seem to care. Friends, this is NOT a good idea. It will destroy small business, raise the cost of living even higher and force larger companies to stop hiring-period. Let's think this through people!

Obama Caves To The Demands Of Islamic Terrorists
My, how times have changed. The late, great U.S.A. is now negotiating with terrorists-something that we have never done. I am not one who supports the "war on terror" and believe the whole action completely illegal, however, this is just another example of Mr. (for I refuse to call him president) Obama ignoring the rule of law. You might say, maybe he didn't know a thirty day notice was to be given to congress before the exchange of prisoners. Well, Mr. Obama claimed to be a constitutional law professor, didn't he? So he should know the law, right?

Why Do We Need High Capacity Magazines?
I had an interesting conversation today with a young coworker of mine. I am blessed that way. I have the freedom to converse in my line of work and sometimes these discussions can be quite lengthy and, even heated. Today was no different.
Let me open with the question that he posed to me. I do this to illustrate a point and the point is that the media have formed the minds of young people in large proportions. None seem to have the ability of critical thinking nor free thought-it's whatever they're told to think. So, the question was, why do people need semi automatic weapons and high capacity magazines?
His thought was that homes can be defended with a revolver, or a baseball bat. I cannot deny that, homes can be defended in that way. Many people keep a revolver nearby, just in case. You see, he says that he is not against guns, just doesn't understand the need of semi auto weapons and high cap magazines-two MAJOR buzz words flying across your TV screens nightly.
My response was that I not only want to defend my home and family from knuckleheads trying to steal from us, but I want to defend my home and family from knuckle-headed government. Tyranny is to be opposed, thankfully it was-once, beginning in 1776.
His thought was that a six shooter could do the same thing. Not if they come with semi auto weapons themselves, I told him. A little pistol will do nothing against 5 armed men 40 yards away. All I ask for is a fighting chance. He never did get it. We went round and round for quite a while, resulting in him getting quite perturbed at me, so I left it.
But here is the thing that strikes me the most. He thinks just exactly the way "they" want him to think. Yes he attends a government funded college, and watches all the mainstream garbage on TV. He said nothing that I haven't heard for the past few weeks in the news, notably Joe Bidden who suggests women just buy a shotgun and just pointing it at an intruder will scare them off. The message is that "we won't take away you right to own a gun" by making suggestions like that to soften the blow.
Don't fall for it people. The fact is "they" think we are all like the youth I was talking to, simple minded, line toers who will "fall in" once things happen. They count on us being like my friend. They hate free thinkers-those of us that don't watch TV . Don't fall for it.

Economy and Gun Control On the Radar
Be sure to read this article carefully. Read between the lines. Mr. Obama's state of the union address tonight will involve little in the way of the state of things and a lot in the way of setting his "second term agenda". It is interesting to note that many lawmakers have invited citizens that have been affected by "gun violence" to sit by them. Hmmm... What do you suppose that means?

If Iowa Goes To Ron Paul You Won't See It On The News
Here is an interesting article and video that says plainly, if Paul wins Iowa, a crucial early primary, the MSM will block it out, down play it and change it. Don't take it from me, this is the admitted plan of the main stream media, which is what they always do anyway. The fact is that the "establishment" is deathly affraid of Ron Paul. The money doesn't like his ideas on the FED and that is the reason Dr. Paul is blacklisted. Click the link and read more.

New Child Labor Regulations For Farmers Under Debate
Have you heard about the new child labor regulations that are being proposed? If not, and you live on a farm, you might want to check into this. Read this article and get informed. The gist of the proposals is that anyone under the age of 18 would not be allowed to do most of the traditional farm chores they have always done-throughout time. Here is my question, well not really a question, more of a statement, but this seems very hypocritical of a government that supports and promotes abortion. We continually allow the government to dictate how we raise, train, teach, lead, work with, admonish, discipline, feed and care for our children-all for the sake of their "safety". You know, to keep them alive and well. Yet, it is this same government that allows people, legally, to kill an unborn child. Hypocritical, yes, but should I really expect anything less from a corrupt system?

Heating With Wood On The Rise
I read an article the other day that has kind of got my dander up. What else is new right? Anyway, I can't post a link to it as I actually read this one in a real live, local newspaper-verses the electronic kind I usually read.
The gist of this one was that the consumption of wood for heat and the use of wood stoves and furnaces are increasing dramatically throughout the country, which stands to reason as conventional energy sources continue to get more and more expensive. The article highlighted a man in Maine that has added a wood stove to his house to supplement the heat bill, saying that wood is readily available and cheaper than the standard. Good for him, I thought. We heat with nothing but wood and enjoy it very much and doesn't cost us anything other than fuel and oil for my chainsaw. We love it.
Then I get to the part of the article that had quotes from environmentalists and EPA people. I will spare all the details, but suffice to say that the idea is being put forth that we "need more regulation" to meet the rising demand for wood heat. The translation is that they are worried about all the "toxins and pollution" that is being put into the air from all those chimneys out there. Then there is the risk to health through the "carcinogens and carbon monoxide" being spewed forth from the burning of trees. Some states have even banned or severely limited the use of wood for fuel and heat. So what's next? You know that if the ideas are being put out there, it is only a matter of time before they start trying to pass new legislation, ultimately resulting in a dictation of how you use your land and heat your home. This is concerning to me.
I remember reading an article a while back that stated new scientific reserch had indicated that the reason for droughts and lack of rain and the so called "warming up" of the earth were a result of a LACK of wood burning chimneys. Supposedly, wood puts out smoke, which carries tiny particles into the atmosphere, which gets hung up in the air, which collect moisture, which form clouds, wich drop rain. I believe it. It makes sense to me. Maybe the good people of Texas need to burn more wood. Or maybe they should burn more wood in California so Texas can get some relief. I'm just sayin'...
So what are your thoughts? Do you heat with wood like we do? Are you affraid of more possible regulation?

Former Soviet Union President Gorbachev Calling For NWO
"Over the next 20 to 30 years, we are going to end up with world government," he told the SF Weekly. "It's inevitable. It will happen and become just as normal to have a relationship with the rest of the world as we now have, say, if you are a Californian and you go to Vermont."-Mikhail Gorbachev
Read the article here. I will resrve too much comment and let you decide. I will say this, Gorbachev is right, the global government is innevitable.

Jesus Unconstitutional?
First of all, I am tired of buzz words like "pluralistic" and "inclusive". These are words that have been invented and propigated by some pencil pushing geek, law school grad-therefore smart, never-held-a-real-job-in-his/her-life and spewing it forth to show how smart they are. You need to read this article to see how the Anti Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has fought to keep a town's government from invoking the name of Jesus before their meetings. Yes, the federal judges ruled that the name of Jesus was unconstitutional. I bet they wouldn't dream of ruling the name "allah" unconstitutional. Or how about "buddah"? "vishnu", "gaia"? What about "satan"? I'll bet the last name mentioned is having a blast with all this.

No Cash For Selling Stuff?
The great state of Louisianna has implemented a law, recently that makes it illegal to collect cash at your yard sale. I do not live in LA. yet this hacks me off. Is this a sign of things to come? Can we all look forward to a cashless society? Is this part of biblical prophecy? I know one thing, the government, for quite some time now, has been struggling with the idea of honest folks making extra money under the table. They can't seem to find a way to tax it, so they just make it illegal. Is it time for civil disobedience? Read more here...

Federal Judge Upholds The Constitution

Rick Perry-Is He The Real Deal?
Just thought I'd share this about Rick Perry. Make sure to read this story all the way to the end, it's not too long. After you have read it, ask yourself why would he be different as president? Granted, people change their minds, but the only time I see a politician change his mind is when he's after votes. My prediction is this, Rick Perry will sound "tough" until he gets the nomination, after which he will moderate a bit until he wins the election, then he will moderate a bunch.
