Fertrell Product Of The Week.

This week I want to talk about Fertrell's Berry Mix , To the left, you can see a picture of our strawberry bed. We started 24 June bearing plants this past spring, pulling off the blossoms to promote establishment. We then fertilized with Fertrell Berry Mix and the bed has taken off to what you see in the picture. These pictures were taken today, the 19 of October. I must say, that we are impressed with what we see as this is the first time we used this product.

This is another view of the garden bed. I am amazed at the growth of these plants. We are greatly looking forward to these strawberries. In the past, we grew Ever Bearing and never really got that many, just enough to pick and eat. Lord willing, it will be different next June! Now on to the product, Fertrell's Berry Mix!

Fertrell's Berry Mix is a specially blended plant food geared toward growing more, bigger and tastier berries. It is excellent for all kinds of berries, not just strawberries. The best time to apply Berry Mix is after the harvest because Fertrells all natural and organic products are time released. In other words, it is not a chemical that gives an instant shot of nutrient to the soil. That is why we added the Berry Mix when we planted, in anticipation for next June. The typical analysis is 4-2-4. Those numbers can be multiplied by 5, again, because of the natural time release of the fertilizer. This product can be purchased in both a 4# or a 50# bag. We have also used it on blueberry plants and are going to try it on Elderberry and Raspberry next.

If you are in the Southern Ozark area of Missouri or Northern Arkansas, we would love to help answer your fertilizer questions and find solutions for your particular homestead. Feel free to contact us either through the Fertrell company of from this blog. Thanks for reading and stopping by.
